Uncovering Your Lawn’s Soil

Dethatching Services

Unhealthy lawns are usually buried under a layer of dead grass and debris — thatch. Our dethatching service short-cuts and vacuums it away so water, nutrients, and air can finally reach your soil.

Why this matters for your lawn

Improved soil access

Excessive thatch absorbs water and nutrients before they reach the soil. Removing it improves irrigation, drainage, and uptake across your entire lawn.

Eliminate fungal growth

Thick thatch is a haven for fungi. Short-cutting and vacuuming destroys that environment.

Eliminate lawn pests

Dense thatch is also where pests lay eggs. Effective dethatching removes both the habitat and the population.

Frequently asked

Does every lawn need dethatching?

No — we only recommend it when thatch is actually limiting soil access. We’ll evaluate during your free assessment.

Is this the same as scalping?

It’s related but more controlled. We cut very short with the right blade height and vacuum out the debris instead of leaving it.
