Compost being topdressed across a freshly aerated lawn
The Oxford Lawn Method

Four steps. One philosophy.

Fix the soil, fix the lawn. Every restoration runs through the same proven sequence — and every step has a specific job.

The four steps

01

Dethatching or Short Cutting

Specialized mowers cut very short and vacuum out the dead-grass thatch layer that's smothering your soil.

02

Core Aeration

Small plugs of compacted sand and clay are pulled from the soil, opening pathways for air, water, and compost.

03

Compost Topdressing

All-natural compost is spread across the lawn, falling into the aeration holes to deliver nutrients straight to the root zone.

04

Soil Amending

Targeted granular and liquid amendments balance soil structure when sand or clay is excessive, supporting deeper roots.
