About Oxford Lawn

Restoring lawns from the soil up.

Our mission is to empower homeowners with knowledge, transparency, and environmentally responsible solutions that transform their lawns from the soil up. Honesty, professionalism, and long-term results — because healthy soil is at the center of a great healthy lawn.

Tom O’Brien

Founder & CEO

Tom is an entrepreneur at heart, passionate about solving problems and building businesses that make a difference. He has launched and grown several ventures, but his greatest passion is Oxford Lawn.

Tom founded Oxford Lawn in 2008 as a lawn mowing service built on reliability and quality. In 2021, recognizing the growing need for healthier, more sustainable landscapes, he expanded into lawn remediation — focusing on compost topdressing, core aeration, dethatching, and soil rebuilding. By 2023, he sold the mowing side of the business to dedicate himself fully to lawn restoration and the development of Oxford Lawn’s proprietary, soil-driven approach.

Under his leadership, Oxford Lawn has become a pioneer in sustainable turf care — proven systems that restore lawns, reduce water use, and improve soil health. As the company expands through franchising, Tom’s vision is to empower other entrepreneurs to build thriving businesses while transforming how communities care for their landscapes.

Tracie O’Brien

Co-Founder & COO · Certified Master Gardener

Tracie is an entrepreneur with a lifelong passion for nature and creating beautiful, healthy landscapes. She began her career as a cosmetologist, where she learned the importance of exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships. In 2000, she joined Oxford Lawn, managing the office and customer experience as the business grew.

When Oxford Lawn expanded into lawn restoration and soil health, Tracie eagerly traded the desk for the truck, working side by side with Tom in the field. A lifelong gardener, former flower farmer, beekeeper, and certified Master Gardener, she has always loved getting her hands dirty and understanding how healthy soil supports thriving landscapes.

Today, Tracie leads sales, customer experience, and daily operations at Oxford Lawn. As the company expands through franchising, she plays a key role in developing systems, supporting new franchisees, and bringing Oxford Lawn’s sustainable, soil-driven approach to lawns across the country.
