Why We Exist

Most lawn care is theater.

Spray it green this month. Spray it again next month. Charge for both. We refused to do that — because if your lawn doesn’t get healthier on its own, we’re just selling band-aids.

So we dig deeper. That’s the whole company.

Watch the Method

What lawn rehabilitation actually looks like.

A two-minute walkthrough of how we dethatch, aerate, and topdress with compost — and why it produces a lawn that keeps improving year after year.

The Oxford Lawn Method

Four steps that fix the cause, not the symptom.

Other companies spray your lawn green. We rebuild what’s underneath it. Each restoration runs through the same proven sequence — and every step has a specific job.

  1. Surface

    Dethatching or Short Cutting

Specialized mowers cut very short and vacuum out the dead-grass thatch layer that's smothering your soil.

    Soil can finally breathe.

  2. Subsoil

    Core Aeration

Small plugs of compacted sand and clay are pulled from the soil, opening pathways for air, water, and compost.

    Compaction relieved 3-4 inches deep.

  3. Root zone

    Compost Topdressing

All-natural compost is spread across the lawn, falling into the aeration holes to deliver nutrients straight to the root zone.

Microbes wake up. Roots find food.

  4. Foundation

    Soil Amending

Targeted granular and liquid amendments balance soil structure when sand or clay is excessive, supporting deeper roots.

Structure rebuilt for the long haul.

Walk through the process

Common Questions

What homeowners want to know first.

How long until I see results?

Most lawns show visible improvement within 4–8 weeks of the first treatment. Real soil-level change continues over 3–6 months as roots grow deeper and microbial activity rebuilds. We’ll set realistic expectations during your free assessment — we don’t promise overnight magic because nobody honest can.

Is this safe for kids and pets?

Yes. Compost topdressing is natural soil-building material — same family as what your garden uses. Core aeration and dethatching are mechanical processes. We don’t apply synthetic surface treatments or pre-emergent herbicides. The only "wait" period is until the compost settles into the soil, typically a day.

How is this different from TruGreen, Scotts, or weed-and-feed companies?

Those services treat the surface — synthetic feeds on the leaf blade, not the soil. They make the lawn look greener for a few weeks then need re-application. We treat the soil, which is where grass actually lives. Once the soil is healthy, the grass takes care of itself with much less ongoing input.

Do you stand behind your work?

We stand behind the work, the materials, and the honest recommendation. Lawn restoration depends on factors we don’t control (irrigation, foot traffic, weather), so we’ll only take the job if we believe the soil-driven approach will deliver for your specific yard. If we don’t think it will, we’ll tell you up front — that conversation is also free.

What does it cost?

Restoration packages are priced by lawn size and condition; yearly programs are bi-monthly subscriptions. Every quote starts with a free in-person assessment so the number you see reflects your actual yard, not a guess. No upsell theater, no high-pressure pitch.

Do I need to do anything to prepare?

Mow normally a few days before, water lightly the day before so the aerator pulls clean cores, and unlock any side gates. We bring the rest. Most jobs are done in a single visit.

The first lawn company that actually explained why my grass kept browning out. Six months in and I’m mowing thicker grass than I had with the previous service.
